On Tuesday, 31st of May, the internet telephone unit of eBay Inc., Skype, is set to launch its new Net-based phone
service for iPhone users and Blackberry as a part of its commitment to expand beyond desktop computers.
Skype has been struggling to make its service work on the most popular phones with the aim to increase
its 400 million + users who were sometimes lured by the promise of cheap and often free calls made, using its
computer applications.
Scott Durchslag, Skype's Chief Operating Officer said in an interview, he had big hope for the new application's
success on Apple Inc.'s most popular iPhone as he expects Skype's future rich mobile offering to appeal to both
new and existing customers.
The no. 1 request we get from our customers is, to make Skype available on iPhone. There is a huge demand
there, Mr. Durchslag said in an interview in the CTIA annual mobile showcase in Las Vegas, where Skype plans
to launch the service on Tuesday.
There is another big launch on May for the "Skype for research" in Motion's Blackberry devices with popularized
mobile email program.
They have already announced Skype for Nokia phones and other phones based on Android, Google Inc.'s
mobile system and finally Window Mobile, from Microsoft Corp.
This new application will give Skype the chance to boost its Mobile phone position as a fight-back to redeem
lost position towards competing social sites like twitter, Facebook or News Corp.'s MySpace.
This is definitely a big step forward on the Digital Entertainment Industry along with the Online Films' Watch Direct.
Massive traffic to those sites is witnessed every day. People crave High-Tech stuff, specially if it's FREE or charging symbolic fees. I can recommend you great resources you can use to the
satisfaction of your heart
Anothe giant step is the Direct Media Download.
See iPhone, iPod, xBOX's Unlimited Downloads.
skype's iPhone application will be free to download and will allow free calls between the users of Skype. fees will
be charged to users for calls to traditional phones

AFGHANISTAN: OBAMA'S VIET NAM ?
President Obama is playing with fire, say some people, "he is making the first and biggest mistake since he took over, state others. Well, let’s look into it.
What happens is: Bush's policy about Afghanistan was a catastrophe. No surprise, there was no clear target, no real plan and no definite goals except from keeping the opinion busy far from the real things that matter to them. It was a real show.
Obama founded his presidential campaign on a firm promise to clean the Bush regime's mess over the years of his two mandates.
Among those, was his failure to mate terrorism network at the head of which is Al Qaeda and his chief and leader Osama Bin Laden. Obama is still serious about uprooting the "evil network" nested in the mountains of Afghanistan and in Pakistan. In Obama's words: "I want the American people to understand that we have a clear and focused goal: to disrupt, dismantle and defeat Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan", and “to the terrorists who oppose us: we will defeat you".
Objective is clear, now what strategy and which weapons?
Out of 17,000 troops he promised, he sent 4,000. He kept the same Chief Military Bush had there. The same weapons and less are there. There’s definitely something missing, some untold element
Obama is wise enough to know that he cannot win where Bush failed
with less. It’s not working that way. Just a few weeks before he comes in power two of the top ranking Generals in Afghanistan told to
the Press: “we can’t expect to win the war in Afghanistan”.
We need to know what Obama call his: “comprehensive strategy in countering Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan”.
That was anyway the topic of Larry King Live under the title:
“Afghanistan: Obama’s Viet Nam?”
From some of the guests on stage:
-Obama is making turn to right.
-How the actual Afghan government is going to control, it’s hilarious
-What Obama is pursuing is going to be another fail strategy
-The troops he is sending there are not nearly enough to achieve the goal.
-The real issues are here, inside America; recession, job losses..
-Our presence there and the escalation of our military forces have radicalized the region even more.
-The key here is Pakistan and not Afghanistan. The safe heaven of Al Qaeda is in Waziristan on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
-What does he mean by: “there will be benchmarks and clear matrix”?
-Obama is walking away from the initial goal
